The benefits of drinking MATCHA green tea on health were already known and known since the 12th century. in Japan, when the famous Japanese Zen monk Eisai Myōan (1141 – 1215) discovered powdered green tea leaves during a Zen Buddhist study and meditation journey.
I spend a lot of his life writing books on the health benefits of matcha green tea.
His book Kissa Yojoki or “drinking tea for health” was first published in 1211 and was the first tea book published in Japan.
Already in the first paragraph we read: “Tea is the ultimate medical and mental remedy and has the ability to make life fuller and more complete” (Eisai Myōan).
